What are solar street lights?
Solar street lights are powered by solar panels that are either positioned on the lighting structure or built into the pole itself.
During the night, the solar panels charge a rechargeable battery, which powers a fluorescent or LED lamp. Lamps that were not fluorescent or solar LED street lights were incorporated in older generations. In windy areas, solar lights are usually built with flat panels to better withstand the gusts.
For battery management, modern designs combine wireless technology and fuzzy control theory.
